Joenne is a junior cybersecurity analyst who likes exploring how systems can be attacked and defended. She enjoys analyzing data, finding patterns, and constantly challenging herself to better understand how systems, networks, and organizations can be protected in a field that is always evolving. She graduated from the University of the Philippines Tacloban College and holds the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) and CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) certifications.

Chrysgel is a 2nd Year BS IT student and aspiring game developer/software developer, passionate about making programming fun and accessible. He enjoys building small games, Python scripting, composing music, writing stories, playing video games, and creating random interesting projects. His goal is to inspire people to see game development and programming not just as a waste of time, but as a creative skill.

Monorepos tend to struggle when scaling, but with Turborepo, this problem is easier to deal with. They ushered an era of online collaboration, fun, and sharing. This 2026, you will be introduced to a similar platform built by Chrysgel called ARCTOAD. ARCTOAD is a web-based collaborative community platform to empower creative individuals by providing a space for publishing and sharing their works from games to music. Code and Coastlines: Understanding the Tech Ecosystem in Eastern Visayas Panel Discussion While not often mentioned as part of the national technology discourse, Eastern Visayas is slowly building a thriving tech industry that will solidify its place in the Philippines as a key center for growth, innovation, and progress. It has seen the rise of remote jobs and sprouting of tech communities which contribute to its ever growing tech ecosystem. Despite this progress, the region is still mired by infrastructure issues, inadequate job opportunities, and brain drain.
